Privacy Policy

• Account information. Email address, name, and profile photo — either from Google (if you sign in with Google) or entered directly. Authentication itself is handled by our provider, Clerk; we never see or store your password.
• Profile details you add. Username, display name, bio, country, avatar, and flair.
• Study and match data. Practice answers, duel results, ELO rating, streaks, vocabulary progress, and topic completion — this is the core data that makes the product work.
• Coach Hustly conversations. Messages you send to our AI coach, and any photos you upload for it to explain, are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate a response, and stored so your conversation history persists.
• Payment information. Handled entirely by our payment processor, Paddle — we never receive or store your card number. We do receive your subscription status, plan, and billing email so we can grant access to paid features.
• Referral data. Your referral code, and — if someone signs up using your link — an anonymized link between the two accounts, used for our referral rewards program.
• Reports. If you file a report about another user, or another user reports you, we keep a record of the report, its outcome, and any resulting account action.
• Technical data. IP address, browser/device information, and a temporary guest token if you try SATHustle before creating an account.
• Support communications. Anything you send us directly, e.g. by email.

To run the product: authenticate you, score your practice and duels, track progress, match you with opponents, process payments, send notifications you've opted into, respond to support requests, detect abuse (cheating, multi-accounting, harassment), and improve the platform.

We don't sell your data. We share the minimum necessary with the services that run SATHustle, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Clerk — authentication and account identity.
• Paddle — billing, subscriptions, and tax compliance (Paddle.com Market Ltd, UK).
• Anthropic — powers Coach Hustly's AI responses.
• OneSignal — push notifications you've opted into (e.g. vocabulary reminders).
• Railway and Vercel — database and application hosting.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of our users.

SATHustle is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. Many of our users are high-school students preparing for the SAT; if you're under 18, please have a parent or guardian's permission before subscribing to a paid plan. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

We keep account and study data for as long as your account is active, so your progress and history stay intact. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain records (e.g. billing history) for legal or tax purposes.

You can update most of your profile directly in Settings. For anything else — accessing a copy of your data, correcting it, or deleting your account — email us at tair@sathustle.com and we'll handle it directly (we don't yet have a fully self-serve deletion flow). If you're in the EU/UK or California, you have additional rights under GDPR/CCPA that we'll honor on request.

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls) to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure. We never ask for your password over email.

If we make material changes, we'll post the update here and change the "last updated" date above.
