The Digital SAT is adaptive: each section (Reading & Writing, then Math) is split into two modules. Everyone gets the same first module; how well you do on it determines whether your second module is easier or harder. Two students with the same number of correct answers can end up with different scores if one of them faced a harder second module — which is exactly why a simple raw score → scaled score conversion (like the calculator above) can only ever be a rough guide, not a real prediction. College Board doesn't publish the actual scoring algorithm.
